Use the Dolphin Imaging integration to open a patient's Dolphin Imaging record directly from
This integration is user-specific: You must activate the integration on each workstation where you would like to use it.
Open image integration tools - ViewPoint main menu > Tools & Utilities > Image Integration.
Enable Dolphin integration - Choose your Dolphin integration type.
Confirm patient identification - Confirm that patient records in your Dolphin Imaging database have the same Patient ID number as the corresponding ViewPoint patient folder.
Open Dolphin Imaging patient files - When you double-click the image box in a ViewPoint patient folder, or click Imaging from the ViewPoint toolbar, the Dolphin Imaging images for that patient are launched. If no Dolphin record exists for that patient, you are prompted to create one.
Use Dolphin Imaging photo in ViewPoint patient folders - The Dolphin Imaging picture that is labeled Facial Frontal Smiling is the image that will be displayed throughout ViewPoint, for example, in the patient folder, On-Deck, and the Treatment Chart.
Create / update Dolphin patient record - Right-click the image box in the ViewPoint patient folder, then select to create a new Dolphin record, or update an existing record. Note that the patient id number in your Dolphin record must match the primary patient id in your ViewPoint patient folder.
Enlarge image - Right-click the image box in the ViewPoint patient folder, then choose Enlarge. The larger image appears in a separate window.
Include images in disaster recovery - Protect your Dolphin Imaging files as part of your disaster recovery protocol. See "Disaster Recovery" for details.
Use images in merge letters - Use Dolphin Imaging images in your ViewPoint merge documents. See "Mail Merge Tool: Patient Images" for details. You can also download ready-to-use merge letters that already include Dolphin Imaging images. Please contact an Ortho2 support representative for details.
