.Use the VistaDent integration to view the frontal smiling image from GAC Technocenter’s VistaDent™ software in ViewPoint, On-Deck, and Treatment Chart, and use all images in ViewPoint letters. You can also start VistaDent from ViewPoint and use ViewPoint to update and create new records in VistaDent.
This integration is user-specific: You must activate the integration on each workstation where you would like to use it.
Open image integration tools - ViewPoint main menu > Tools & Utilities > Image Integration.
Enable VistaDent integration - Choose the VistaDent integration type and enter your details.
Path to images - Navigate to the folder where your VistaDent images are located for ViewPoint access.
Image filenames - Note that your image files must be saved with the patient's ViewPoint primary ID as the first part of the filename. Pre-existing images that are not saved with the ViewPoint primary ID will not integrate unless you rename them.
Open VistaDent patient files - When you double-click the image box in a ViewPoint patient folder, or click Imaging from the ViewPoint toolbar, the VistaDent images for that patient are launched. You can then select an image to view. If no VistaDent record exists for that patient, you are prompted to create one.
Use VistaDent images in ViewPoint patient folders - The image file that is labeled as Frontal Smile is the image that will be displayed throughout ViewPoint, for example, in the patient folder, On-Deck, and the Treatment Chart.
Create / update VistaDent patient record - Right-click (or double-click) the image box in the ViewPoint patient folder, then select to create a new VistaDent record, or update an existing record. Note that the patient id number in your VistaDent record must match the primary patient id in your ViewPoint patient folder.
Enlarge image - Right-click the image box in the ViewPoint patient folder, then choose Enlarge. The larger image appears in a separate window.
