Once you have determined WHAT
to backup, and WHERE to back
it up, either by using the VP
Backup Setup Wizard
or by creating your database
backup,
directory
backup
and file
upload
processes manually, you can further customize the processes as needed.
To do so:
Open the VP Backup Service application.
If the ViewPoint icon ( ) appears
in the status area of your taskbar, usually the lower right-hand corner
of your screen, double-click the
icon to open the VP Backup Service application.
If the ViewPoint icon ( ) is
NOT on your taskbar, you must
first activate
VP Backup Service,
then double-click the icon.
Select the process you want to modify with one
of the following methods:
Click the process
name, then click the {Properties}
icon in the VP Backup Service toolbar.
Right-click the process
name and select {Properties}.
Click the process
name, then select {Processes}
and {Properties} from the VP Backup
Service menu.
Click the process
name, then {Tools} and
{Options ->} from the VP Backup
Service menu, and click the {Process
Name} field.
You now see the settings available for the type of process you selected.
The {Process Name} field at the
top of your screen reminds you which process you are working on, and cannot
be changed. Click below for information about all other fields.
