Use patient alerts to notify you of important issues. Open the Alerts panel of the patient folder Home page to add and edit alerts. You can include alerts on certain reports (including Appointment Day Sheet reports), and flag alerts to pop onto your screen when certain triggers occur. In addition, alerts flagged as medical concerns appear on the summary of the patient's Treatment
Create standard alert list - Create a list of standard alerts to enter into your patient folders. Then, when you add an alert to a patient folder, you can add a description from your list as-is or type a unique alert for the patient. See "Set Up Alert List" for details.
View alerts - Patient folder > Patient tab > Alert field. (See "Patient Tab" for details.) In addition, the Alert Stop pop-up appears whenever specific triggers, such as opening the patient folder, posting a transaction, or scheduling an appointment. occur for the patient.
Add / Edit alerts - To open the Edit Alerts window (where you can add, edit, and remove alerts), click the G beside the Alerts field. Or, click Edit Alert when you see the Alert Stop pop-up (described below).

View alerts from Patient tab - Click in the Alerts field to see all active alerts for the patient. You can also use the arrows at the right edge of the field to scroll through the alerts. Those preceded by (MED) are medical alerts.
View alerts from Treatment Chart - Alerts flagged as medical concerns (described below) appear in the patient summary of your Treatment
View alert stop pop-up - When you access a feature or event that has been flagged as an Alert Stop, and today's date is within the alert date range, the alert pops onto your screen.

Alert details - Select the alert to work with
Alert stop triggers - Select the alert to work with, then enable the features / events you want to flag with an alert stop. Then, when you try to go to that feature for this patient during the time range indicated by the Start Date and End Date , the Alert Stop pop-up will appear first. You can enable multiple stops for an alert, if appropriate.
Medical alert
Patient tab - Enable this option to trigger an alert stop sign whenever you open the Patient tab of the patient folder. (See "Patient Tab" for details.)
Patient folder stop - Enable this option to trigger an alert stop sign whenever you first open a patient folder. (See "Open Patient Folders" for details.)
Appointment stop - Enable this option to trigger an alert stop sign whenever you begin to schedule an appointment for the patient.
Post transaction stop - Enable this option to trigger an alert stop sign whenever you open the Post Transaction window for the patient.
Ledger stop - Enable this option to trigger an alert stop sign whenever you open the patient's
Appointment history - Enable this option to trigger an alert stop sign whenever you open the appointment history for the patient. (See "Appointment History" for details.)
Audit an alert - Right-click an alert and select Audit to review who created the alert, and when it was created.
Remove an alert - Select the alert to work with, then click Delete.
Save your changes - Click Ok to save the changes you have made without closing the patient folder.
Save Changes Click
Save in your Quick Access toolbar or File ribbon bar (or press Ctrl+S on your keyboard) to save any changes you have made.
Print alert list - Run the Alert List report to generate a printed copy of your alert descriptions. See "Alert List" for details.
