As you print a non-merge document, report, or other printable item, you can use the Capture tool to save a copy of that document in the correspondence history.
Capture into HR Manager employee record - Open employee > Ribbon bar >
Capture into patient correspondence history - Open patient >
Correspondence History > Capture.
Capture into table record - Open dentist, professional, or insurance company record > Correspondence History > Capture.
Capture into office contacts correspondence history - Open office contact record > Correspondence History > Capture.
Scan into your practice correspondence history - ViewPoint toolbar > VP Document.
Document details - Enter the details for the captured document.
Document name - Type a descriptive name for the document you are capturing.
Sort keyword - (Not available from the patient correspondence history.) Choose a category for this document. You may type a new category name, or select from a category you have already created. Once you type a new category name it cannot be changed or removed from your list of sort keywords.
Regarding - (Patient correspondence history only.) Choose whether this document is regarding the patient or a responsible party. If the patient has multiple responsible parties, you may select the party to assign to the document.
Leave the capture window open.
Go to the application where the desired document resides (i.e. Word).
Print the document, selecting
Return to the original capture window and click Done.
You can now click View from the correspondence history to open the document with your Adobe Acrobat Reader.
Capture merge document from Print Later Queue - You can capture a merge letter to the correspondence history directly from the
Capture merge document from Word - The Capture to Correspondence History option provides you with a way to save a merged document to a correspondence history without having to print the letter. Depending on the letter
Size limitation - Be aware that files larger than 2MB may not be successfully incorporated into your Correspondence History records.
