Set Up Contract Properties

Use the Properties button at the bottom of your Contract Editor window to select the default contract class(es) and late fee for new contracts, as well as indicate the "path" to take while creating new contracts.

Open Properties Window Patient folder > Contract tab > Contract Editor > Properties.

Go to the Contract tab of any patient folder, then click the Contract Editor button.

Click the Properties button at the bottom on the Contract Editor window.
Default Path Settings Enable the tabs you want to include in the "path" when you click Next and Back to move through the Contract Editor tabs. Note that you can always click a tab, or use shortcut keys to go to any tab at any time.
Contract Default Settings Select the default contract class, late fee, and proposal status to apply to new contracts. You can always change the values for individual contracts as you create them.

Contract Class - Select one or more contract classes to apply to new contracts. . See "Set Up Contract Classes" for detailsabout maintaining your list of classes.

Late Fee - Select the late fee to assign to new contracts. This policy can be different from the late fee policy you assign to miscellaneous charges you post to the account, and can be changed for individual contracts as needed. See "Set Up Late Fee Policies" for details.

Proposal - Enable / disable the Proposal option to indicate whether you want new contracts initially flagged as proposals.
Save - Click Ok at the bottom of the properties window to save your changes and return to the Contract Editor.
