Your Patient Sign-In system can greet patients with sound whenever they sign into your office. In addition to adding interest for your patients, the sound effects can alert your staff to events surrounding your patients' situations In addition, the sign-in password prevents patients from gaining access to the rest of your computer system from the sign-in station.
(These options are available for both the Classic style sign-in screen and the Contemporary style.)
ViewPoint main menu > Daily Activities > On-Deck Operatory > Properties.
Open General tab - Click to open the General properties tab.
Password - Type a Patient Sign-In password the password field. You use this password to exit Patient Sign In, and to access the editing features of your Contemporary sign-in screen. If you do not create a sign-in password, your Patient Sign-In station may be vulnerable to patients and other people accessing your data.
Sound Events - You may set up sounds for several sign-in events.
On Time plays when a patient signs into your office on or before the scheduled appointment time, but not too early (as described below).
Early Arrival plays when the patient signs into your office too early, as defined by your sign-in notification settings.
Birthday plays when the patient's birth date is within one week of today's date.
Late Arrival plays when the patient is late for their appointment, as defined by your sign-in notification settings.
No Appointment plays when the patient has no appointment scheduled for today.
Sound settings - You set up each sound event by selecting a sound file, enabling /disabling it, and optionally listening to a sample.
Choose a sound - Click Browse and select any .WAV file available to your workstation.
Listen- Once you have entered a sound file into a path field, you can click Listen to hear a preview of the selected sound.
Enable / disable sound (Not available for on time sound.) Check the Mute option to
Delete a sound - To remove a sound path, click the beside the path field.
Save -Click Ok to Save your changes at the bottom of the editing window.
Assistant / chair options - The General tab of your On-Deck properties also includes settings for assigning chairs and assistants to patient appointments. See "Set Up General On-Deck Options" for details about these options.
Workstation-Specific - These properties are specific to your workstation. Other stations in your system may have other settings.
Change password regularly - We suggest changing your password regularly to maximize its security potential.
