Set Up Patient Sign-In Station

Certain setup options help protect your data while making it easier to open and run your patient sign-in station.

Install fingerprint sensor at sign-in station - (Optional.) If you use fingerprint identification, you might want to install a fingerprint sensor at your dedicated Patient Sign-In station for patients to use. (Patients can also sign themselves into your system with a keyboard or a touch screen.) (See "Acquire Patient Fingerprints" for details.)

Protect data - (Strongly recommended.) Prevent unauthorized access to your practice data with a user account created specifically for dedicated Patient Sign-In stations.

Password - (Strongly recommended.) The Patient Sign-In password prevents patients from gaining access to the rest of your computer system from the sign-in station. See "Set Up Sign-In Password & Sounds" for details.
