Install Fingerprint Sensors

Install fingerprint sensors at your workstations so that your office staff can simply touch the sensor to log into ViewPoint, and to clock in and clock out of your timeclock. In addition, patients can use fingerprint sensors at your Patient Sign-In station, and to open a specific area of their own patient folder.

Get Started

• Obtain components - You may purchase and install as many fingerprint sensors as you need. To obtain the sensors and other required components, please contact Ortho2.

Choose Your Settings

Important! Do not plug the fingerprint sensor into your computer until after the software is installed!

• Insert the CD that came with your fingerprint scanner. The Installation should AutoRun from the CD. Click Next when prompted to continue.

• Accept the license agreement, if you agree to abide by the stated terms, and click Next to begin the installation.

• Click Next to accept the default destination folder.

• Click Finish to complete the installation process.

• Shut down your computer, and be sure it turns off properly.

• Now, plug the fingerprint sensor into a USB port on your computer.

• Restart your computer.

Repeat the installation sequence for each workstation where you are placing a sensor. Once sensors are installed, you are ready to acquire fingerprint data for your patients and your staff, and begin using your fingertips to access your system!
