Use the Auto Update
If you have multiple machines on your network, you must set up the Auto Update Properties for each machine individually.
ViewPoint shortcut menu > Help > Auto Update > Auto Update Properties.
Download from the Internet- Select this option if this computer has Internet access and you want to get the update directly from our server. If this computer will be your Auto Update Server, this option must be enabled. (See "Set Up Auto Update Server" for details.)
Download from an AutoUpdate Server on my network - Select this option if this computer does not have Internet access or if you prefer to get the update from a machine on your network which has been designated as an AutoUpdate Server. When you enable this option, you must then provide the name of the machine that has been selected to be your Auto Update Server.
Disable automatic check for updates on start up - Select this option if this computer does not have Internet access, or if you do not want to be notified of available updates whenever you start ViewPoint at this computer.
Note that if your computer is set to checking for auto updates upon starting ViewPoint, but your Windows User Account Control settings (UAC) do not allow you to install/change program files, ViewPoint will display a notice regarding available updates when you log in. However, you will not actually be able to begin the auto update process. You may then contact your network administrator and suggest that your ViewPoint system be updated soon.
Disable PASV mode - Select this option only if your firewall requires that PASV be disabled.
Save your settings - Click Ok to save any changes and exit the settings window.
Individual computer settings - Be sure to review the settings for each computer in your network.
Auto update server option - If you have multiple machines on your network, you can set up one computer to be the Auto Update Server, which receives the latest ViewPoint files directly from the Internet and saves those files at a location available to your network. The other machines on your network can then be updated quickly and efficiently from those files. (See "Set Up Auto Update Server" for details.)
