The employee Compensation area contains data about the employee’s salary rate. The dollar amounts of the salary or pay rate and applied bonus can be seen only when you open the compensation area for editing. This prevents unauthorized persons from seeing this sensitive information by looking over your shoulder.
Select employee record > Compensation panel. See "View Employee Record" for details.
View data - Only
Edit data - Select Compensation from the Edit section of the HR Manager ribbon bar, and edit the fields as needed.
Pay type - Select whether the employee is paid by an hourly rate, or an annual salary.
Salary or Pay Rate - Enter either the hourly pay rate, or annual salary as appropriate. You can click Delete to clear the unused rate field, if necessary.
Last raise date - Enter the last date the employee received a raise in pay.
Bonus - Enter the amount of the most recent bonus earned by the employee.
Save - Click to Save your changes, or click Cancel to exit editing mode without changing the record. All changes you make to the employee's salary, pay rate, or raise date are automatically recorded and tracked with the Compensation History. See "Compensation History" for details.
