Activate Electronic Insurance

Activate the ViewPoint / electronic insurance integration to handle your patients' insurance claims without printing and mailing forms.

Get Started

Verify access to Electronic Insurance - Click Electronic Insurance on the ViewPoint toolbar. If a message appears saying that you do not have access, please contact Ortho2. When you purchase Electronic Insurance, Ortho2 will contact you and guide you through changing your CD-key and setting up the module.

Register with Claim Connect - Go to www.dentalxchange.com and click Sign Up. Choose Batch File Upload as your preferred claim submission method and Ortho 2 as your practice management software. Be sure you sign up for the EHG Vendor Partner Claim Services Package. If you have multiple practice locations and want insurance companies to send payments to each location instead of just the main office, create a separate account for each location.

Provide NPI numbers - You must give your NPI number(s) to the electronic insurance claim clearinghouse if you want them to be included with your electronic claims. To do so, log onto your account in ClaimConnect’s website, www.dentalxchange.com, and select Add or Edit Providers. Once they have your NPI number(s), they will appear on all future electronic claims.

Verify NPI numbers in ViewPoint - The webclaim clearinghouse requires the account number of each office in the WebClaim Account Number field of your Office Table. Enter 0000 or 9999 in this field if you use the ClaimConnect clearinghouse. Leave it blank if you are using paper claims. See "Set Up Office Locations" for details.

Save Claim Connect Credentials in ViewPoint (Optional but recommended.) - You can save your Claim Connect credentials in your ViewPoint System Settings to facilitate uploading your electronic insurance forms to the claims processing clearinghouse. See "Set Up System Settings" for details.
