Email Error Log

Use the Email Error Log to identify the reasons why VP Reminder email messages and Quick Message email messages were not delivered successfully.

Get Started

Enable Error Log - Open the Email tab of your Outbound Integration Setup & Maintenance tools, and enable the Create E-Mail Trace Log option. You can also enable the option whenever you send a Quick Message.

Use This Feature

View Immediately - The log will automatically appear on your screen immediately after an unsuccessful attempt to submit an email message.

View Later - View the most recently-compiled list of email message errors by opening the VP Reminder Log.txt file that is found in the folder where ViewPoint is installed (often, this folder is /ortho2).

File Overwritten - Each time you initiate an email message and an error occurs, the system overwrites the VPReminderLog.txt file, replacing it with the new error information.
