Set Up Operatory Display
Use the Operatory tab of your On-Deck Properties to set up your Operatory milestone colors and other display options.

Open On-Deck Properties - ViewPoint main menu > Daily Activities > On-Deck Operatory > 
Properties.

Open your Operatory Display.

Open the On-Deck Properties window.

Open Operatory Tab - Click the Operatory tab at the top of the window.
General Display Options - Choose the font size, polling frequency, and optional grid lines to display on your Operatory screen.
Font Size- Select the font size for your Operatory: The bigger
the number, the bigger the words appear on your screen.
Grid Lines - Choose whether to display dividing lines between patient entries
and / or columns in the Operatory display. Select from: vertical, horizontal, both vertical and horizontal,
or no grid lines.
Polling - Use the Frequency field to define the approximate number of seconds that
your Operatory display automatically updates itself. Enable the Disable Polling option to inactivate
the polling frequency. If polling is disabled, be sure you click
Refresh in the Operatory toolbar frequently to update your screen to the most current information.
Using the Operatory with
a high polling frequency on multiple machines can have a drastic negative impact
on ViewPoint performance. We suggest a polling frequency of at least 50.
Milestone Colors - Set up the Text and Background colors of your On-Deck milestones so that you will be able to see at a glance the status of the patients in your Operatory. (See "On-Deck Operatory " for details about updating your patients' appointment statuses.) Be sure the pair of colors you select for a single milestone are different enough that you will be able to see them on the screen. For example, you might not be able to see dark gray text against a black background.
Pre-Appointment - This milestone indicates patients whose scheduled appointment time has not yet come. We suggest a softer color for this less urgent status.
Short Wait - This milestone indicates patients who have been waiting 10 or fewer minutes past their appointment time.We suggest a bright color for this status.
Long Wait - This milestone ndicates patients who have been waiting more than 10 minutes past their appointment time. We suggest the most intense color for this urgent status.
Late Patient - This milestone indicates patients who signed into your office after their scheduled appointment time had passed.
Doctor Needed - This milestone indicates patients whose appointment status has been updated as "Dr. Needed" in the Operatory.
Doctor is Here - This milestone indicates the patient whose appointment status has been updated as "Dr. is Here" in the Operatory. Only one patient at a time can have this status.
Seated - This milestone indicates patients who have been "Seated", have no other "Dr." status, and have not been "Exited".
Viewing Options - Choose to view your Operatory in either Split Screen or Classic View.
Split Screen Option - The Split-Screen Operatory option divides patients into two groups. The top portion of your Operatory
screen shows patients who are signed into your office, but haven't been seated. The bottom portion shows patients
who have been seated and whose appointments are currently in progress.
When you view your Operatory with the Split Screen option, you use the Waiting and Seated tabs of your On-Deck properties to select the information to include in each section of the Operatory window. See "Set Up Operatory Display Fields" for details.
Classic View Option - The Classic View option lists all patients who have signed into your office, regardless of their On-Deck appointment status.
Sort
Order - Choose how to sort the patients that have signed into your Operatory. If you are using the Split Screen viewing option, each section of the screen will be sorted separately.
Arrival Time Ascending - Choose this option to sort patients in the order they signed into your office, regardless of their scheduled appointment time.
Appointment Time Descending / Ascending - Choose one of these options to sort patients according to their scheduled appointment times, regardless of when they signed into your office.
Save Your Changes - Click Ok to save the changes you have made and close the editing window.
