Create a Contract with Fast Fee

Use Fast Fee to quickly create a simple contract.

  1. Open Contract Treatment Fee Tab - Patient Folder > Contract tab > Contract Editor > Treatment Fee. (Be sure to select the phase to work with on the Phase tab before going to the Adjustment tab of the Contract Editor.)

  2. Choose Billing Party - Click a name in the list at the top of the window to select the contract you want to work with.

  3. Open Fast Fee Wizard - Click Fast Fee to open the Fast Fee wizard (or press Alt+A on your keyboard),

  4. Enter Fast Fee Details - Enter the initial fees and period fees for the contract. The Alloc Tx. Fee field at the bottom of the window tracks the total contract fee amount. When the total fee is correct, click Ok to apply the contract to the selected billing party.

Initial Fee - Enter the date the initial fee is due in the First Fee Date field of the Initial Fee section of the window. Then enter the fee amount, and number of initial fees to charge, usually one. If you apply multiple initial fees, the first fee is charged on the date you specify: Additional fees are charged out on the same day of subsequent month(s). (You may edit the dates later from the Initial Fee tab of the Contract Editor.)

Recurring Fee - Enter the date the first periodic fee is due in the First Fee Date field of the Recurring Fee section of the window. The date defaults to one month after your initial fee date. Then enter the amount and the number of fees, and choose the fee interval: Monthly, Semiannual, Biweekly (twice monthly), Quarterly, or Annual.

  5. Finish & Review - Click Ok to apply the details to the contract. You can adjust the fee schedule as needed with the tabs at the top of the Contract Editor. See "Create Patient Contracts" for details.

  1. Save - When you are satisfied with the contract details, click Finish at the bottom of the window to save your changed contract and exit the Contract Editor. If any of the contract fee is unallocated, the Finish button is not available to you. New contracts are listed in the New and Changed Treatment Fees section of your Transaction report.
