Set Up Edge Imaging Integration

Before you can integrate Edge Imaging with your ViewPoint patient folders, you must set up your VP Imaging properties.

1. Open Image Integration Window ViewPoint main menu > Tools & Utilities > Image Integration.

   

2. Activate Integration Select the Edge Imaging integration option.

   

3. Set Up Server and Database The first time you open Edge Imaging, you will be prompted for your server and database settings. (You can also access these settings from your Edge Imaging User Options. See "Set Up Database, Server & Path" for details.)

   

   Images location -  Select a directory to store your patient images, such as C:\Ortho2\Images. Be sure this folder is available to all workstations in your network, and included in your daily backups.

   Set up server and database - The first time you open Edge Imaging, you will be prompted for your server and database settings. (You can also access these settings from your Edge Imaging User Options. See "Set Up Database, Server & Path" for details.)

   Server name - This is the server computer where your system files are located.

   Database name - This is the patient database that you will integrate with Edge Imaging.

   Customer number - Enter your Ortho2 customer number in this field.

   Save your changes - Click Ok at the bottom of the window to save your changes.
