Manage Edge Animations Filmstrip Lists

Use the Favorites and Treatments lists to organize and manage your Edge Animations videos so you can quickly find and use the video you need.

Use This Feature

Open Filmstrip / Video From a List - Click the Favorites, Treatments, or All tab at the left of your Edge Animations window to select the list to work with, then double-click the filmstrip or video you want to open. Or, use the search box to locate a filmstrip / video within the selected list. When you search for a filmstrip or video, you can search both the name and description. Your selected filmstrip is opened in the filmstrip viewing area at the bottom of your Edge Animations window, after any other items already in the viewing area.

The Favorites and Treatments lists contain filmstrips you have built and saved. If the filmstrip includes patient images that are flagged as templates, those images will be replaced by the appropriate image of the currently active patient. Otherwise, Edge Animations will display the patient image that was originally added to the filmstrip. See "Edit Filmstrip Image/Video" for details.

The All list contains all the videos available from the Edge Animations Assets Manager. Videos you have not downloaded appear dimmed in the list. Note that if you have enabled the Exclude Stereo Videos setting, videos with stereo audio files will not be included in your filmstrip list, even if you download them from the Asset Manager. (See "Set Up Edge Animations" for details about enabling / disabling this setting.)

Patient Images  & Templates - (Edge and ViewPoint users only.) If a patient folder was active when you opened Edge Animations, open the Patient list at the left side of the window, and double-click the image you wish to add to the filmstrip. You can then choose to hard-code that image into the filmstrip, or make the image a template. See "Edit Filmstrip Image/Video" for details.

Save Filmstrip to a List - Click Add to Favorites or Add to Treatments from the filmstrip ribbon bar, then provide a file name and description. The currently displayed filmstrip will be saved to the list you selected. By default, the filmstrip files are saved in the corresponding Assets folder of your Edge Animations data file location, in .XML format

Rename a Filmstrip - Right-click a filmstrip in your Favorites or Treatments list, and select Rename. (You cannot rename items in the Allor Patient lists.)

Remove a Filmstrip - Right-click a filmstrip in your Favorites or Treatments list, and select Remove. You must then confirm that you intend to delete the filmstrip from your computer. (You cannot remove items in the All or Patient lists: The All list is managed from the Edge Animations Asset Manager, and the Patient list is managed from the Imaging page of the patient folder.)
