Copy Image / Layout to Clipboard

Copy individual images or an entire layout to your clipboard so that you can use in another application, such as a desktop publishing or word processing document.

  1. Open the Patient's Image Layout - View the static image layout that contains the images you want to copy: You cannot copy from a cardflow layout. (See "Patient Imaging Page" for details.)

  2. Select Images to Include - (Not required when copying an entire layout.) Click an individual image to work with. To select multiple consecutive images, hold down the Shift key, then choose the first and last image to include. To select multiple non-consecutive images, hold down the Ctrl key, then click each image you want to include. In addition, you can click Select All from the ribbon bar (or press Ctrl-A on your keyboard) to include all images.

  3. Click to OpenInitiate Copy - Click Copy from the Imaging section of the Edge Imaging ribbon bar, and choose whether you want to copy the entire layout, or only the selected images. (If you have not selected one or more specific images, the Images choice is not available.)

    You can also right-click an image and select Copy , or press Ctrl+C on your keyboard, to copy the selected image: Layouts cannot be copied in this manner.

Use Copied Images - The file, or files, are is placed in your clipboard for immediate use in a document or other application. Note that the image is not saved to a file, and will not be available to you once you place other data in your clipboard.
