When you first create a ViewPoint patient folder, your Outbound Integration patient defaults automatically set the message volume level and responses to the user defined message selection criteria. However, you can change the settings for individual patients as needed with the Specific Patient Settings option of the Outbound Integration window.
This article is not applicable for use with VP Reminders or Edge Reminders: VP Reminder and Edge Reminders are fully integrated with ViewPoint, and do not need these settings.
ViewPoint Main Menu - Tools & Utilities > Outbound Integration > Specific Patient Settings. Note that this option is not available if Edge Reminders or VP Reminder is active.
ViewPoint Toolbar - Outbound Integration > Specific Patient Settings. Note that this option is not available if Edge Reminders or VP Reminder is active.
ViewPoint Shortcut Menu - Add-In > Outbound Integration> Specific Patient Settings. Note that this option is not available if Edge Reminders or VP Reminder is active.
Choose Patient - Use Fast Find to select the patient to work with.
Details - Review and edit the details as needed:
Phone Type - Choose whether the phone number that will receive your messages is touch-tone (most common) or pulse (rare).
Volume Level of Message - On a scale of 1 to 5, select the volume to use when you send a telephone message to this patient.
User Defined Message Defaults - If you have set up user defined criteria for selecting messages, indicate the value that should be used for this patient. (User defined criteria can, for example, determine whether a patient should receive an English message or a Spanish message. See "Set Up Outbound Reminder Integration" for details.)
Save and Exit - Click Close to save your changes and exit the setup window.
