If you previously used VP Reminder to send text messages, and now want to use Edge Reminders, you can use Data Tool 610 - Convert Email # To Text # to convert the contacts you had been using for those VP Reminder text messages into the text message format used by Edge Reminders.
ViewPoint Main Menu - Tools & Utilities > Data tools.
Heed warning - Review the warning message about running data tools. If you are sure you want to continue, click Ok.
Initiate data tool - VP Extras tab > (610) Convert Email Contact # to Text # > Run.
Data tool 610 - Convert Email Contact # to Text # is found on the VP Extras tab, and should be run only if you previously used VP Reminders, and have now set up your system for Edge Reminders.
Running this data tool changes how contacts you have flagged for text messaging in patient folders and responsible party records communicate with your system. Specifically, contacts you flagged to receive text messages for VP Reminder will be restructured for Edge Reminders, and will no longer work for sending text messages via VP Reminder.
After selecting this tool, click Run to continue, or Close to exit without making any changes.
View results - After the tool has finished running, review the results window, then click Close to exit.
