Install Signature Software (ePad)

VP Signature integrates with a signature device (ePad) that allows you to insert signature fields into VP letters for patients/clients to sign from the ePad device electronically. In addition, when you process a payment with VP Credit Card, VP Signature automatically opens for the patient's signature. To use VP Signature, you must have installed Interlink Electronics Integrisign Desktop software, and have a functioning ePad device at each workstation where you want to collect signatures. 

Choose Your Settings

Do not plug in the ePad digital signature pad until the end of these instructions.

  1. Insert the CD that came with your ePad digital signature pad into the CD drive of the workstation you wish to install to. The installation process should begin automatically.

  2. Click Install ePad Drivers.

  3. Click Next.

  4. Enter your name and company name, and click Next to continue.

  5. Click Next at the information screen that follows.

  6. Click Next at the next screen as well.

  7. Enable the ePad USB and ePad-ink USB options, then click Next to continue.

  8. Click Next through two more screens, which define the location of the installed software and the type of installation to perform.

  9. Confirm that the Wintab Emulation option is not checked. Click Next to continue. When the installation is finished, a completion dialog is displayed which may or may not ask you to reboot.

  10. Return to the CD's Main Menu once the driver installation is finished. (See Step 1.)

  11. Click Install IntegriSign Desktop.

  12. Click Next to continue.

  13. Click Yes to accept the license agreement, if you agree to abide by the terms.

  14. Enter your name and company name and click Next.

  15. Select only the IntegriSign Core option in the IntegriSign PlugIns list. Click Next to continue.

  16. Click Next through two more screens, which define the location of the installed software.

  17. When the installation is complete, select Finish.

  18. Shutdown your computer.

  19. Plug the ePad digital signature pad into a USB port on this computer.

  20. Restart the computer.

You may repeat this procedure to install ePad devices on all workstations where you would like to collect signatures. Then, whenever you use VP Credit Card, VP Signature will prompt you for the responsible party's electronic signature as the transaction is being processed.

You can also add VP Signature fields to the merge letters in your Letter Library to prompt for signatures as the letters are being generated. This feature is especially useful for Truth-in-Lending documents and Contracts that you would like to have signed immediately.
